Beyond a Seat at the Table
If you’ve achieved everything… and still feel like something’s missing—this is for you.
We’ve been taught that if we work hard, push past our limits, and keep our heads down—or assimilate—we, too, could earn a seat at the table.
And that worked.
Until it didn’t.
Because now, we’re either at the table but fighting to be heard…
Or we’re being heard, but using all of our energy protecting our hard-fought success—while the people in our lives are left with scraps.
Or maybe we’re realizing:
Having a seat at the table is not the same as having a stake in it.
The cost of the dream we fought so hard for is starting to outweigh the reward.
And now you’re left wondering:
Do I keep fighting for my seat?
Do I keep giving my family—and if I’m honest, myself—what’s left?
Is this even worth it anymore?
I’d venture to say the answer is in the question.
But you already know that.
You know the seat you once wanted isn’t what you want now.
You know the illusion of success is just that—an illusion.
What you don’t know is what to do next.
Do you walk away from everything you’ve built?
Do you tough it out a few more years?
Do you keep pushing in hopes there’s something better on the other side?
And as much as you hate to admit it:
Doing nothing… also feels like giving up.
Not on your goals.
On yourself.
And that makes you sad.
Here’s what I want to offer—
and I hope it provides some clarity, comfort, and release for you.
You are not a quitter.
This nudge to get up—literally and figuratively—from a table that takes more than it gives?
It’s a sign that you’ve failed.
It’s a sign that you’ve reached an elevation where you can see clearly what truly matters.
Until now, you believed magic, power, and success were at that table.
But now you’re there. And you see clearly.
Yes, you sacrificed.
Yes, you paid a price.
But more importantly?
You can see the horizon.
You can see open space.
You can see what was there all along: you.
This moment isn’t about regret or quitting.
It’s about choosing yourself.
It’s about backing away from a game you no longer wish to play.
It’s about reclaiming your power, tuning into your Self, and following your lead.
And yes—it feels both invigorating and terrifying.
Because this isn’t something you’ve done before.
But that sense of aliveness?
That’s the real thing you’ve been chasing all along.
Joy.
Adventure.
Freedom.
This isn’t about quitting or failing.
This is about living.
Living your life.
Your way.
If you are ready…
To stand in your power
To rewrite the rules.
To play—and finally win—your own game...
This is your invitation.
All you have to do, is say yes.
If this landed for you…
I made a 1-page reminder for moments like this.
A reflection.
A return.
Not to fix you but to help you hear yourself again.
About Aisha
I work with people no one would ever suspect.
The ones who’ve made it, but quietly wonder… “Is this it?”
I don’t coach to fix or motivate.
I create space.
For the leader to take off the cape.
For the visionary to become the human again.
For the soul to be heard.
My work isn’t about performance.
It’s about permission.
I live in Lisbon. I work privately.
And if you’re here, there’s a reason.
